Sunburn symptoms may vary from person to person and the occurrence of these symptoms usually depend upon the duration you have spent under the sun, and the second important factor is the type of skin you have. If you have paler skin, you are more prone to get sunburned as compared to somebody who has darker skin color. There might be various symptoms and if you notice any of them, you better think about getting an immediate medical attention. No matter either these signs are mild or severe, you should never ignore them or they might get you into bigger trouble if you don’t treat them on time.
Redness, Pain & Irritation
The signs usually don’t appear right after you have sunburned, but they become visible after 3-24 hours. In severe case, you may observe red skin color which in most of the cases accompanied by pain. If you think your skin has been too sensitive that you can’t even touch it without pain or irritation, you are unfortunately suffering from severe type.
Blisters and Other Severe Symptoms
They may also include blisters which appear on various parts of skin in small and big sizes depending upon the severity of the disease. The patients can easily notice them as they are apparent on certain body areas. Severe signs may also include swollen skin, chills, discomfort, fever, headache, dizziness and nausea while severest is dehydration. There might be various symptoms which are accompanied by other severe ones.
