Nummular eczema which is also known with various other names such as microbial eczema, gravitational eczema, discoid eczema, nummular neurodermatitis and nummular dermatitis is a type of dermatitis. The word nummular has been derived from the Latin language in which it means a coin and the name nummular or coin given to this condition of dermatitis because of the appearance and shape.
