Stay Glowing Every Day by Giving Yourself a few Minutes Only

Bringing daily glow to skin does not essentially require you to spend thousands of dollars every other week or visit expensive saloon every third or fourth day. Celebrity-like glow can be brought with inexpensive home treatments of skin, however, consistency and frequency of these treatments are the only contributing factors in such treatments. Here are a few tips that will help you treat yourself like an experienced beautician.

Cleansing & Toning

  • Cleansing and toning should be an essential part of your daily routine. Water based cleansing lotions work very efficiently on oily and combination skin, however, for a dry skin, one should use oil based cleansing lotions. Use toner always as an end part of treatment. Homemade cleansers can be made with;
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut milk, 1/2 tablespoon lavender, rose or almond oil (choose one that suits you best) and 1/2 tablespoon of honey. You can also add 2 to 3 drops of lemon juice. Avoid using lemon juice on sensitive skin.

1 teaspoon honey, 1 egg white and 2 tablespoon curd. You can add pineapple juice as well to gradually get rid of wrinkles and age spots.

Tomato works best as toner. Cut a slice of tomato and freeze it for 5 to 10 minutes; then rub it directly on your skin and wash after 15 minutes.

Frequent cleansing can enlarge your skin pores. Toner minimizes the size of pores enlarged after cleansing; if you are reluctant to use a toner, you can rub a piece of ice twice a week as well. Don’t forget to wrap the ice in some cloth before applying.

How To Get A Complete Natural Glow?

For a totally natural glow, you need to exfoliate your skin twice a week, along with cleansing and toning. Exfoliation removes dead skin cells, improves blood circulation, reduces skin spots and rejuvenates the upper layer of skin. There are 2 ways of exfoliating your skin.

  1. Mixing the exfoliating component directly into the cleansing lotion
  2. Exfoliating the skin after cleansing, and then applying the toner

For a homemade Exfoliator, you can crush and ground 4 to 5 almonds and mix them with coconut milk, lavender oil and honey mixed cleanser and scrub your skin well for 5 minutes. Other exfoliating mixtures are;

a)     Mix 1 tablespoon olive oil with 1 tablespoon sugar (the one used in homes), and scrub well. It is an ideal treatment of blackheads also.

b)     Mix 1 tablespoon ground oatmeal with a few drops of lemon juice and 2 tablespoon yogurt.

Believe In The Miracles Of Lavender Oil

 Lavender oil has now become an important part of salon treatment for enlarged pores, acne, wrinkled or rough skin, skin wounds and inflammation, stress, depression and many other problems.

I.      Soak a towel cloth in hot water. Apply lavender oil on your face and massage for 2 minutes. Now squeeze the towel cloth and cover your face with it. Remove the cloth after 10 minutes. Vitamin E capsules can also be mixed into it. Do this treatment twice a week after cleansing.

II.      For a skin damaged or pre-aged with sun radiations, use a mixture of lavender oil, coconut milk (equal proportions) and a vitamin E capsule to get back your glowing skin. Curd can be used as a replacement of coconut milk.

Give yourself 15 minutes only and get an ever-glowing skin. Stay glowing!
